Really great little tool for cutting smaller tree branches and larger bushes. Cuts through branches effortlessly. The “A-grip” really helps to steady the tool on a branch. The battery lasts longer than I can keep cutting – I have not run out of power half-way through a job yet! We have also used this tool for cutting a piece of plywood, so the garden is not the only place where it is useful. This is obviously not its intended use, but when power is not available it can be done.
It is easy to clean (always keep your tools clean!) as any tree-sap on the “A-grip”, or on the two front supports if using without the grip, wipes off with a damp cloth. The fact that it uses the same blades as the larger sabre saw is also useful. Just remember to use the 150mm blade, NOT the 200mm! I would imagine that could be dangerous.
The only negatives that I have found so far are that the “A-grip” prevents cutting close to the trunk, and I find the button that you need to hold in order to engage the trigger is a bit too far forward for a thumb-press in my case. Neither of these are show-stoppers, but the button position has lost this item one star.
I would definitely recommend this item to anyone who has a garden with trees or bushes that need regular trimming. It really saves a lot of effort and time.
